For Shane Larsen, leather work isn't just a craft—it's a family legacy. As a third-generation leather worker, Shane was introduced to the art of shaping and molding leather at just six years old, under the watchful eyes of his family. What started as a hobby passed down through generations soon became a lifelong passion, blending tradition with his commitment to those who serve.
Shane’s journey didn’t stop there. After serving in the military for over a decade, he joined Northwest Fire District. As a firefighter, he saw firsthand the strength, courage, and sacrifice of his fellow first responders. Inspired by their dedication, he founded Fire Break Leather —a business rooted in both his western heritage and his drive to create handcrafted products for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day.
At Fire Break Leather, it’s truly a family affair. Shane’s kids can often be found helping around the shop, learning the same craft that has been passed down through generations. Together, they create custom leather pieces that are built to last, designed for the everyday heroes who need gear as dependable as they are.
